Ice climbing. From December to February let's try ice climbing! You'll discover another facet of the mountain, new gear, different techniques and a new environment!
You're a beginner and you’ve never practised rock climbing? It doesn't matter; ice climbing is accessible to all.
The spots closest to les Arcs/Bourg saint Maurice:
Val d’Isère: maybe the best for beginners, also possible to do multi pitches and learn how to lead.
Vallée des Chapieux: A remote place for people who have a good knowledge of ice climbing.
Peisey-Nancroix: Ice climbing from intermediate to expert levels from 3 to 6 pitches, easy acces.
Prices 2024: (coaching + technical equipment)
- Private engagement: Full-day 1 pers from......430€ - 30€ more extra/personn.
From €420 for one person + €30 per additional person (up to 6 people).
The price includes:
Supervision by a high mountain guide
Shared equipment: ropes, ice screws, quickdraws, etc.
Ice climbing–specific ice axes and crampons, helmets, harnesses
The price does not include:
Personal equipment (clothing, mountaineering boots, personal crampons)
Meals
Transportation to the site
