Off piste skiing in Val d'Isère

A very a nice itinerary in a remote part of Val d'Isère and a good way to discover ski touring.
We begin our tour at 9am at le Fornet. a small and picturesque village situated at the end of the valley of Val d’Isère. From here we reach the Pisaillas glacier by the ski lift.
Equipped with mountaineering skis, we start with a short ascent, up to the col de l'Ouille Noire 3229m and then a nice downhill awaits us, on the Maurienne side of the mountain. The second climb  (200m. vertical ascent) brings us up to the col des Montets 3185m.
Then it's a long downhill on the glacier of les Sources de l'Isère to arrive at the mountain hut: Prariond. We'll appreciate a rewarding drink in this nice and secluded place, before going back to Val d'Isère.

Depending on to your level it's possible to ascend to ascent to la Grande Aiguille Rousse 3482m from the col des Montets.
